Asian Wedding Show

Today (Saturday) we've been in Harrow, north London, at an Asian wedding show. We will also be there on Sunday (24th) too. It is at the Harrow Leisure Centre, from 11am to 6pm.

We've had some really positive response from people - and if we met you today, then 'hi from us'. We approach the photography for Asian weddings in the same way we do for English weddings, that is with our own style of contemporary photography, capturing the day, and also the character and emotion from the wedding. We are not just taking snaps, but our approach is completely professional, with image quality that speaks for itself. This has been a growing trend in English weddings for some time, and now seems to be growing in demand for Asian couples too - and we've had very many positive comments from people today. So thank you for that.

There are a number of Asian weddings in this site, including Mandeep and Sukhdeep, Dipti and Vinish, and Salima and Arif. You can see a selection of images at recent weddings, some album designs and all the images in our client galleries.

Oh, and the food is just wonderful!
Well, off to bed for me, as I have an early start in the morning,
Glen

Lifestyle Photography at Duddington Manor...

It has been really hard keeping a lid on this one. We've been taking a number of pictures recently at a place called Duddington Manor, located in the village of Duddington, just outside Stamford. The property is simply idyllic and is owned by a friend of mine. We are looking to use it as a base for lifestyle photography.

So what exactly is lifestyle photography? Most people ask this question. Lifestyle photography is exactly what it says - it is about capturing a moment in your life, a time that you want to remember. It could be you are engaged, newly married, with young children, or you have grandchildren, or you would simply like to capture a special time in your life in a natural way.

I've put a few pictures below and you can see more at our lifestyle gallery. Watch this space for more in the weeks to come.

Lifestyle Photography at Duddington Manor
This is Duddington Manor, set in its grounds. The manor dates back to 1633.

Lifestyle Photography at Duddington Manor
This is a picture from a lifestyle family shoot we did last week - capturing the interaction between people makes for great natural pictures, capturing life as it is.

Lifestyle Photography at Duddington Manor
This picture is from a 'kiddies' shoot. We set up some games for them to play and then took some pictures. The kiddies had fun and we got some great pictures.

Lifestyle Photography at Duddington Manor
This picture from from a model shoot we did. Georgie is the model and she wanted to build up a portfolio. This is also suitable for anyone who would like some pictures that make them look fantastic. We work with a make-up artist and can plan the shoot to meet specific requirements.

Lifestyle Photography at Duddington Manor
This picture is from a teen shoot - most young girls (and boys for that matter) are image conscious and most parents like to have pictures of their children as they grow up. The trouble when they reach their teens is they are less happy in front of the camera, especially if mum or dad is taking the picture.

Anyway, I hope you have enjoyed looking at the pictures.
best wishes, Glen

The Priest House Hotel

We were at the Priest House Hotel yesterday at Castle Donington, exhibiting at their wedding show. We had a great time and met lots of people, and if we met you, then hi from us!

It is a lovely hotel, in an idyllic location, next to the river Trent and adjacent to the original water mills. Apparently the site of the Priest House was first mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 - so, as you can guess, there is plenty of character. The hotel is one of fourteen unique, luxury country house hotels in the Hand Picked collection.

How to create a link to this site

If you would like to create a link to this site, then you don't need to be a whizz at html, simply copy and paste the code shown below, and it will show as a link, so when people click on the text they see it will take them to the right page. If you want to link to a specific page then just copy and paste the page url (the bit with http) in place of the url below. You can also use your own description by simply over-writing on the text I have used.

Here is the code you need, and as I said above you can tailor this if you want to link to a specific page with your own text.

Happy posting!
Glen

We just wanted to say thanks...

Well it is just over 12 months since Samantha and I formally started to work together and from which we created PureLight By Sam & Glen. We set out to provide a high quality service for couples who appreciate beautiful photography. As you can tell from this site, we both have a passion for fantastic photography, but we could not have imagined the level of positive response we would receive from clients.

We wanted this website to be a dynamic site, not just the usual photography website. We wanted it be a service for our clients and to create a site that people would come back to again and again.

So thank you to all the couples we've come into contact with over the past year. It is a privilege to be a small part in other peoples' lives and we hope we have captured some happy and wonderful moments for you to cherish for many years to come.

If you like this site and you think others will too, then please feel free to post links to PureLight by Sam and Glen in other blogs and even places like Facebook, StumbleUpon, del.icio.us, digg, or any other site you think people might be interested. In short, if you love this site, even if you just like it, then feel free to spread the word. I'll do a separate post if you're not sure how to create a link.

New York, New York:-
by popular request, here is another picture from my time in New York in January. Click on the picture to see a larger version. I think it may have been taken by my eldest daughter, so I won't claim any credit - but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
have a good week and a good Feb,
Glen
